Yeah, I have the flu. The one year I don't get a flu shot because I can't find one for less than $100, I get the flu. Sad. Even more sad because we were going to go to Universal Studios today. Bummer. Anyway. What a way to end a week.
Another sad note, this week I discovered that I forgot my sweet nephew's birthday!! He turned 5 and I forgot to call. I am very upset with myself over this, and I actually did cry about it. I never forget to call my nephews on their birthday. Anyway, here is a picture of his sweet little 5 year old face:
Here's a little anecdote from this week. One morning Travis and I were at Starbucks and one of my students was there. I stopped to talk to him and his mom while Travis walked over to get our drinks. As soon as Travis left the kid looked at me (he is 3) and pointed at Travis and said, "Hey is that your dad?" HA HA.

Jeri, don't beat yourself up. Jake had a great birthday. While Mom was here, we had a little party, on his actual birthday, we went to his favorite restaurant, DeAngelo's, and just last weekend, we had a big party with a magician and everything. I'll let him call you tomorrow. Love you!
