More Vegas

I made this in photoshop from several pictures I took in front of the Bellagio. It's sort of a panoramic, hope you enjoy it. The next one is the same thing, but I used some pictures taken after it got a bit darker.

And here's a video of the fountain show we watched at the Bellagio, it's a bit shaky, but still looks great.

Viva Las Vegas

We went to Vegas for a few days this weekend for our anniversary. It was tons of fun. The following few post are just a few pictures from our trip, for somereason it wouldn't let me put them in one post. If you want to see more we have tons...just e-mail us. We didn't have time to do everything. We went to the shark reef and up the Eiffel Tower and the Stratosphere tower. We went to M&M world a couple times...bought a few things for the neice and nephews. The Coca Cola store was cool, too. Since we were only there a short time, we didn't go to any shows.

At the Belagio right before the water show. We will post a video of this later...very impressive.

These next pictures are all from the Shark Reef aquarium at Mandalay Bay...the blue blobs are jelly fish..

This was a real woman in the Venetian. Creepy. The only thing moving was her eyes.

These are just some silly pictures from M&M World and the Coca Cola Store. The picture by the window is up the tower in the Stratosphere (where we stayed).

Summertime

Well, our anniversary is coming up one week from today! To celebrate...we are going to VEGAS! We leave tomorrow. I (Jeri) have never been there, and Travis went when he was like 12, so it should be a great time!! Vegas is about 4 1/2 hours from us...so if we like it, it makes for a cheap vacation! We will post pictures when we get back.

In 3 weeks we are going on a camping trip to Santa Barbara! We are going with a couple that lives next door to us and another couple that lives in our building. We are SO excited about that! Camping virtually right on the beach. Santa Barbara is beautiful...believe it or not, more beautiful than Malibu.

The weekend after our camping trip Travis' parents are coming for a few days. We are going to do alot of fun stuff...hopefully Jay Leno, Wheel of Fortune and a Dodgers game. That will be a fun weekend, too.

Labor day weekend one of our bridesmaids is coming into town. We will be going to a Labor day Dodgers game with foreworks!

Summer is lots of fun here!! I do not want Travis' school to start back up!

4th of July Post #2 (read down for first one)

Left: During the game

Right: Waiting for fireworks

The crowd waiting for the fireworks show.

We will post some videos of the fireworks as soon as Travis gets that together. We hope you all had a great 4th of July!!

4th of July

Well, for the last 2 years we have celebrated the 4th of July with the L.A. Dodgers and 55,000 of our closest friends. :-) Last night was a fun game against the Arizona Diamondbacks....which we won! We went with the church on campus. Our good friends the Parmelees got tickets from his parents for us. There were alot of Pepperdine folks. After the game we got to go down to the field and enjoy a fireworks show. Here are some pictures from last night. We will post a couple videos later.

There were over 55, 000 people at the game last night. My favorite player is up to bat in this picture.

This is our friend Hannah Parmelee and Jeri (left). She and Jay (below) live next door to us and are expecting a baby in November.

This is us and the Parmelees on the field before the fireworks.

Jeri's favorite player. #55.

Welcome!

We decided to do a blog instead of a website because it is easier to keep up with.
Here's a little about us (in case for some strange reason you do not already know this). We live in Malibu, California right now as Travis goes to Law School at Pepperdine University. He finished his first year (WOOHOO!!) which they say is the hardest, and in August he will begin his second year. This time he got to choose his own classes, so he should enjoy them all. I (Jeri) work at Pepperdine in the Dean's Office, but not for much longer!! I will be taking a job teaching preschool at Malibu Presbyterian Church in September. I am also in grad school (online, convenient) for my M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education.

Malibu is a nice little town to visit, but after Law School we will be moving to a bigger city, (L.A.? Austin? NYC?) Malibu is too small. But, in the mean time, the celebrity sightings make it alright. Travis sees most of them actually, and I only see them if I am with him.

More updates with extra pictures coming soon!
