...who thinks I only post things on Facebook. Which might be true, but not on purpose. Either way, here you go.
Scroll to the end to see a cute video.
Also...we had to turn Owen's car seat back to rear-facing, because the APA changed their recommendations to 2 years instead of 1. Bummer, but Owen didn't really seem that concerned.

6 and 18!
That is the number of years we have been married and the number of months Owen is (TODAY!!).
On July 19th we celebrated 6 years of being married! Thanks to my mom for babysitting, we went and saw Harry Potter! FUN!
Today Owen is 18 months old. Crazy. He is all over the place, and never, ever, ever stops. He adores hot dogs. He says hot dog repeatedly and wants to eat one every second of the day. Seriously. He likes ketchup with his hot dog, and with his chicken too. Hey, anything to get him to eat more.
He also is obsessed with Elmo. So much so, that we took all Elmo related things and hid them for a couple of days to see if we could get him interested in other things. Well, Veggie Tales was introduced to him, and now he is completely obsessed with Veggie Tales AND Elmo. :) Oh well, what can you do? He likes what he likes. The other day when Travis got him up form his nap, Owen grabbed ALL of his bed time friends (it is alot, yes) in his arms to bring out with him.
He is FINALLY over 20 POUNDS!!! We turned the car seat forward facing the other day (Tuesday, July 21st - for my records) and went for a little drive. He wasn't sure what was going on at first, but he loves it now.
Owen had his first hair cut about a month ago. His hair was going over his ears and collar and just driving us nuts - so when CiCi and Pop came to visit Pop cut his hair for us!
We went to the Frio River with Travis' family last weekend. It was fun sitting in the river, and Owen LOVED it because he could just run around and play while we sat in the chairs. Saturday night though, after his bath, I went to wrap the towel around him. Little did I know there was a SCORPION in his towel and it stung my tiny boy's leg. :( It was so sad. He was ok the next day though (after quick thinking and a dose of Benadryl right after it happened!) We also took a few pics of the family while we were there.

The other day we went to a museum at UT. There were dinosaurs (or "sores" as Owen calls them) and Owen had fun. (it was FREE too!!) We took this pic outside.
Here are just a few fun pics of the boy!

Oh Blast
Well, April's blog icon is no longer on the right side of my blog. That is because her blog is no longer there. There is alot of controversy around that blog and the people who wrote it. Is it fake? Is it real? I don't know. Some think both ways. All I know is I will pray for them either way because God knows the real story, and who can't use a few prayers, right?

Hello!
Long time, no "speak" blogworld!
Owen is insanely smart, in my humble opinion. :) Here are some of the things he is doing these days:
~ if you tell him to throw something in the trash, he takes it to the trash and puts it in!
~ if you ask him "where is Owen Parker?", he points to himself
~ he can point out his belly button, nose, eyes, and ears. we are working on mouth and knees.
~ new words: car, cat, yeah, hubba bubba (Travis taught him that one, and YES, he says the entire thing and thinks it is great), fraw (strawberry - this either refers to his strawberry milk or an actual strawberry), tu (the number 2), lie (light), lo (lotion)
~ he recognizes the number 2. I have no idea why, but he does. We were at the doctors office the other day and were near the bank of elevators. We were on the second floor so every elevator had a "2" on it. He kept pointing to it and saying "Tu! Tu!"
~ he realizes that a cow is black and white, and it says "moo". He calls a cow a "moo". So, logically, when he sees a zebra he says "moo" because it is black and white. I think that is a smart connection, but we are still working on the difference between and cow and a zebra.
Here are some photos. We went to the Austin zoo the other day. It isn't very good, but Owen still enjoyed the animals.
Owen is the LOVINGEST kid. He loves giving hugs and kisses. Here he is loving on his cousin Will. And here are just some random pics.

My Favorite Movies Growing Up (I think I am weird)
Alright, so I was doing some of those "Top Five" things on Facebook, and one of them was "movies you grew up on". I had to do it twice just to cover the movies I watched literally hundreds of times. I decided just to do a blog post about it instead of filling out another few of the Facebook things.
So, here it is. The movies I watched growing up. I PROMISE I WAS BORN IN 1980.
ELVIS - yes, I LOVED Elvis when I was younger. I still do, but not nearly as much as I did when I was a pre-teen. I had all of his movies, and I watched them over and over. So he gets a category all his own. Here are the Elvis movies I watched. I am sure there are more than I am listing here, but these are the ones I remember.
Blue Hawaii
Fun in Acapulco
G.I. Blues
Girls! Girls! Girls!
Viva Las Vegas
Jailhouse Rock
